Who We Are
Cottage Lane Interiors is a Charlotte, NC, based interior design business that offers a full range of interior design services from home renovation projects to design consultation on fabric, lighting or furniture selection for your space.
Lane believes that good design is not only a representation of the client and their taste but also a blend of several design elements to make a space beautiful and functional. Her signature low-country style combined with classic and timeless looks create gorgeous yet livable spaces.
Cottage Lane Interiors partners with local contractors and vendors to bring together design and furnishings to create a functional space.
Influence and Style
Growing up between the two coastal Carolina cities of Wilmington and Charleston, Lane cultivated an early interest in design. Influenced by her mother, who is an artist, Lane was constantly surrounded by fabric samples, paint swatches and artwork fueling her interest in all things creative. You'll find evidence of Lane's low-country roots in her design style.
After college, Lane worked 12 years in education. Then she decided to turn her passion for design into a career and went back to school to study interior design.
During her final semester in design school, Lane worked as
an in-house designer at Front Door Fabrics & Interiors. She stayed there for over 3 years, gaining invaluable knowledge and experience helping clients create beautiful spaces with custom furniture, window treatments, pillows, artwork and accessories.
In July of 2016, as her own business began to grow, Lane decided to devote herself full time and thus founded Cottage Lane Interiors, a Charlotte, NC based interior design business.
